One
day a few years ago I scoured the Web in search of a site
about my favorite car and found nothing -- only "for
sale" ads. No sites seemed to be devoted to this wonderful
automobile. So I decided to sit down and create one!
Although
it has taken a lot of work to get this far, there is still
much to be done to complete this website. I will be adding
as many photos as I can get my hands on as well as more
details from the sales brochures (of which I own all years
1980-1984).
I
don't know how large the "community" of '80's
Regency owners currently is or how many will find this site
useful. Eventually I would like Regency owners to be able
to come here to discuss all things related to their vehicles
and perhaps even buy and sell parts or even cars. I plan
to add service information as I go along. Currently I have
a 1981 Chassis Service Manual and a 1982 Fisher Body Manual.
Unfortunately,
I no longer own one of these beautiful cars. I was forced
to sell mine after it sustained heavy damage in a severe
hail storm and it proved too expensive to repair. Presently
I have neither the budget nor the space to house another
one, but I do hope to finally drive a Ninety-Eight once
again in the future.
I
remember fondly the many years I drove and worked on my
cherished 1981 Regency Sedan. I did quite a bit of work
on it and added many factory options (some of which, like
the Delco GM/Bose Music System, were never actually available
on the vehicle when it was manufactured!). I may be a bit
rusty all these years later, but I did learn a lot about
these cars and I hope to be able to share some of that experience
with others via this website.
If
you wish to contact me, follow this link
to send me an e-mail. I get a lot of e-mail, so please be
sure to specify "Olds 98" in the subject line.
I look forward to hearing from you!
Sincerely,
Charles
